The Stepping Up into Community Leadership program is a great opportunity to delve into what it means to lead in and with community across south west Victoria.

10 days: two immersives (2x2 day workshop style, focusing on leadership skill building and action learning; external facilitator) and six program days, including field trips, in and with communities across the region.
Dates: July - November
Group Size: Minimum 12 - maximum 20 people
Locations: across the region - Glenelg, Moyne, Southern Grampians and Corangamite Shires and Warrnambool City

Looking to gain/refresh leadership skills
New to the region and/or wanting to learn more about the region

Considering where to volunteer in your local community

Build your knowledge and capability to lead locally
Contribute to the strong fabric of connected, resilient communities in south west Victoria
Add tools to your leadership toolkit – sharpen the ones you have, shed the ones that no longer serve you, and strengthen those you want to focus on (through action learning task back in your workplace/community group)
Create a supportive brave space to try new ways of leading through an action learning approach in the workplace or community group .

Cost
The 2026 ten-day Stepping Up into Community Leadership program costs $4,470+GST.
This fee includes:
2 × two-day Immersive sessions
6 x program days delivered in and with the South West community

Scholarships
In 2026 we have over $30,000 for scholarships.
You can nominate for a scholarship during the Expression of Interest process.
2026 Application Process
30 March: Expressions of Interest open
15 June: Expressions of Interest close
Mid June: Phone or face to face interviews (if demand requires)
Scholarship places are allocated.
26 June: Successful applicants will be asked to register online. Unsuccessful applicants will be notified.
29 July: Stepping Up into Community Leadership commences.
